Is it Okay to Swim While Treating a Vaginal Yeast Infection?

After you get out of the water, you’ll want to strip down as soon as possible. By keeping your wet bathing suit on, you’re contributing to the conditions under which bacteria settle down and cause infections such as yeast infections. Make sure afterward to wash your vagina area thoroughly.

A yeast infection occurs when the natural amount of yeast in the body tips over and begins to spread and grow, causing an infection. When you wear a wet bathing suit, that contributes to the growth of yeast and can worsen your condition so get out of your suit as soon as possible and wash up.
